Who we are
AskColm.com is a free tax news aggregator built and operated by Colm McCormack, based in Dublin, Ireland. It is a personal project offered free of charge to tax professionals. There is no company behind it.
What data we collect
We collect only one piece of personal data: your email address, and only if you choose to subscribe to the Friday newsletter. We also store your content preferences (which tax heads and regions you selected) so we can filter the digest to what is relevant to you.
We do not collect names, payment information, location data, or any other personal information. We do not use cookies for tracking purposes.
Why we collect it
Your email address is collected solely to send you the weekly Friday tax news digest. Your preferences are stored solely to filter that digest to content you care about. There is no other purpose.
What we do not do

- ✗ We do not use your data for any purpose other than sending you the newsletter you signed up for

Who has access to your data
Your email address is stored in Supabase (a database provider based in the EU) and used by Resend (an email delivery provider) solely to send your weekly digest. Both providers are GDPR compliant. No other third party has access to your data.
How long we keep your data
We keep your email address and preferences for as long as you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe, your data is deleted within 30 days.
Your rights
Under GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. You also have the right to withdraw consent and unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any newsletter email.

Legal basis for processing
We process your email address on the basis of consent. You provided that consent when you submitted your email address and opted in to the newsletter. You can withdraw consent at any time by unsubscribing.
