Ask Colm was born out of a simple frustration — there was no single place where tax professionals could get a clean, daily digest of what was happening across the global tax landscape. Most tools were either too expensive, too generic, or buried behind paywalls.

I am a chartered accountant and tax consultant with two decades of experience across the manufacturing and technology sectors. Currently at Autodesk, I focus on line item transaction taxes — the kind of detail-oriented, high-stakes work that makes staying on top of global developments not just useful, but essential.

In 2025 I was appointed to the VAT Expert Group advising the European Commission. I have also been selected as a Young Global Changer with the G20 (2018–2022), and in 2017 I co-founded A Lust for Life, an award-winning mental health charity.
